Kyuzo
Anyone flip their handlbars mounts so that they are more forward?
motorazr
I did that myself but it's only possible because I also used an instrument relocation bracket from LSL Motorradtechnik via Spiegler Performance Parts here in the USA. The stock bar mounts are joined together and the stock instrument mount attaches to the front of the bar mounts. Turn the bar mounts around and you'll have to figure out another way to mount the instruments. LSL's instrument relocation bracket is part of their X-Bar (fatbar) mounting kit (photo). I couldn't find any fat bars that I liked better than the stock bars so I reversed the stock bar mounts like you suggested for a better position. Having the bike's instruments easily visible WITHOUT having to look down is a huge plus. I was tortured by the Japanese during the war, Jack. Not a pretty story. Strange thing is they make such bloody good cameras.
gregjet
I thought about it but bought some aftermarket ones that were over the top instead. My instruments were already mounted forward anyway. Go forth and modify my son...go forth and modify...
