All the concentrating on getting going from the light and watching the cars immediately around you. Hard to remember there's threats everywhere. If he had lanesplit up to the front of the line, he would have been well ahead of the crash. That or he probably would have been able to see it coming and either not gone into the intersection at all or could have maneuvered out of it. Another argument for legalizing lanesplitting.
