Who wants their cylinders all lined up.  Radial seems the way to go.

Fwiw, the FZ07 is the bomb and perfect next step.

1. Weight and size makes it nimble and forgiving for someone moving up from a 300.

2. Insurance costs are much more reasonable. Money saved there means more gas money for riding, savings pay for kit, and new tires, etc....

3. Power, more than enough for around town, Twisties, hwy,  hooning. The 09 only really gives more top speed, means tickets and possibly losing your licence. Above the speed limit, danger danger.

4. MPG, great fuel economy. I get 60+. Again, less it costs you to ride, more riding and farther you can go.

5. Motorcycle news calls the 07 the motorcycle of the decade.

6. Don't have to worry about throttlebcontrol as much as the power is more linear and smooth. The 09 is a beast and for advanced riders. Build your experience level first.

Not an 09 at your level unless you raced dirt before moving to a street bike...
