Penske now available

Now available for the 7, and I am quite excited about it. Now the real question is which version or upgrades do I go with. The 8900E just the way it is costs 650.00. 8983 Double adjustable runs 925 and the 8987 Triple adjustable is 1225.

So the huge question is how much is this gonna hurt if I don't plan on taking the bike to the track and ride aggressively on the street and hit the canyons a couple time a month. I know that they can be upgraded in the future.

Along with this I was planning on some springs, emulators and good oil out front, no need to go all out for the street if the front is set up correctly, I know many guys with stock front ends set up right on Honda Hawks with very similar 41MM forks out front.

Suspension guru's weigh in so we know what to spend to get the most bang for our buck and make this fun little bike a little more fun.

Have not ordered yet decided to go with the 8983 and that runs about 1000 bucks so that's not going down quite yet. I have ordered the front end drop in kit from traxxion which should be here in about a week so I will have the front done soon.

The bike is at the shop and im doing a bunch of other stuff as well like tires, etc so they'll handle the install.

I think its pretty straightforward tho as a DIY project so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Finally got the Penske installed in the back and it is amazing, changes the whole feel of the bike. Here are some pics of install and aftermath. The install was very easy with minimal trouble, not really How-to worthy in my opinion.

Yes, that does look awesome.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm still waiting for some kind of ride report from the couple of riders who bought these that goes into some detail about just how awesome it really is. :)
Hmm.And now that I broke the 100 post mark, I'm a Full Member.

The riding season is pretty much over for most of us, but you can't evaluate a racing shock with a leisurely ride around town. You either have to do a track day or some very aggressive riding in the mountains to get a real feel for the improvements.  It also has to be fairly warm so the suspension can warm up and the oil can flow properly.  Food for thought
