faffi
- that make me dislike a lot of the modern stuff. Look at this from the 14:50 mark to see one such daft example of modern technology used for no real purpose: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhWm7HoI7lc
Premium Member bornagainbiker Posted December 1, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted December 1, 2017 I see what you mean--what mastermind came up with that weird and convoluted fuel sampling system? Beemer
I hate fancy schmancy. I remember the days when you could quickly lean your bike right to left (left to right doesn't work, ha!) to gauge how much gas you had in the tank. Then there was the "real man's" method of taking the gas cap off and looking inside but that would be too much to ask of limp wristed millennials that can't open a jelly jar without the help from their mom. 😉 I kid, I am thankful for simple gas gauges. r1limited
I have no ide'r what a niggling thing is, but them whatamacallits and thingamajigs irritate the hell out of me. All this high techno mumbo jumbo, why back in the day a spoke was a spoke and a cockpit was the gas thungamabob. “Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.” --Thomas Jefferson quoting Cesare Beccaria
