Slowed down a bit but I'm still riding a bit! My current overall average since I bought my bike is 39 miles (62 km) per day. Since the 4 February this year my daily average is 89 miles (143 km) per day. My goal for this year is to get at least to 30,000 miles (48,280 km) on the bike which will give me a daily average of about 50 miles (80 km) per day. Did my 24,000 mile (38,600 km) service today and the next one will be the valve adjustment in about a months time. I'm going to cave in and likely take it to my dealer to do it as they quoted me about $450 USD for the job with plugs on top.

I just pulled the trigger and bought a Corbin seat for my FZ-07 from one of the (or the only) FZ-07 pages on Facebook. Looks like it's basically new and he only sold it as he got rid of his FZ-07 a little while ago. I'm excited to try it out and it at least looks like it'll be a big improvement over my current Yamaha Comfort seats. I may also look into the passenger back rest to add to it for the girlfriend and whoever else I give a ride to.

Installed the Corbin Gunfighter seat this morning and then did a 2-1/2 hour ride with it. I'm very happy with the seat!

My FZ-07 just turned 25!

Just got my bike back from the dealer to do an early valve adjustment, replace the chain and sprockets, fix a broken front blinker connection and check the wheel bearings as well as put in spark plugs. Total was $898.14, valve's were all in spec. The valve check, spark plugs, and valve cover gasket replacement were $406.43 ($61.43 in parts). The chain and sprockets were $416.10 ($214.85 in parts). No fee for checking wheel bearings or fixing the blinker connection. I'll be picking up the bike in a little while.

I've owned my FZ-07 for two years today! In that time I've only actually ridden it 17/24 months. I currently have 28,150 miles (45,300 KM) on her. I've averaged 38.5 miles (62 KM) per day. I plan to have 50,000 miles (80,467 KM) by the end of next year.

Just did the 28,000 mile (45,000 KM) service on the bike. Also ordered a new stock air filter after checking the original which was dirty. 28,497 miles (45,861 KM) are on the odometer now.

That's one serious seat!   Anything for comfort for sure.

It's a big improvement over even the Yamaha Comfort Seat. Only complaint I have with it is it's a little slick depending on the weather. Still well worth the $300 or so I spent on it. New they are around $500.

So, I'm possibly thinking of trading the FZ-07 in for a 2019 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Adventure I just found. Gotta think about it a bit but got offered $4,000 trade in for my FZ-07. Financing would be the same as I was paying on my FZ-07. I'll know more tomorrow.

Changed my mind, I'm going for a Super Tenere instead that they have at the dealer.

So the final decision has been made, I'm going to be trading my FZ-07 tomorrow and picking up a 2019 Super Ténéré. Just left a deposit on it and they'll have it ready for me to pick up tomorrow after I get off of work. I had an amazing time with both FZ-07 I've had, putting on 39,000 miles between the two of them. I'll be taking all my aftermarket goodies off and trading it in stock. So you'll likely see the goodies for sale on here!

28,690 miles on this wonderful motorcycle, I've had an amazing 3 1/2 years total between this '17 FZ-07 and my first '15 FZ-07. About 39,000 miles combined. This forum is an amazing place with great members all around and what ultimately turned me on to my first FZ-07 back in 2014. Just said goodbye to my '17 after 2 years 1 month and 2 days. If anyone wants to pick up a well maintained '17 FZ-07 contact Flemington Circle Yamaha in Flemington, NJ. Thank you all and I'm sure I'll still be around, plus I'll be making a post for the few goodies I have for sale off my FZ-07 over the weekend when I have time.

Here's the listing for my previous FZ-07 at the dealer I bought it from and traded it back to for my '19 Super Ténéré. If anyone on here goes and looks at it just mention my forum handle and my name (Mike H.). I don't have anything setup with them but figured why not and maybe they'll give me a free oil change or something. All the history of this bike is in this thread and listed in order on the first post.

 

I'll eventually get to selling the extras I took off my FZ-07 at some point.
