What motorcycle, past or present, do you think is the coolest ever?  The quintessential motorcycle.  The bike that says I am motorcycle--hear me roar.  I'll start this off with my pick, mind you I may change my mind once I've seen some of your picks:

The 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900

So is that a thumbs up or a thumbs down for the Z1? ::)

Absolutely a thumbs up. The brakes kinda sucked, but they sucked on almost all bikes back then.

I ended up with a GPZ 900R later on. That bike was a blast.

Ive never owned or ridden one, but hopefully one day. These have always looked stunning from any angle and have been my dream bike from the very first sighting.

Oh, it's a wonderful bike. If you like riding in straight lines. It does look mean as hell.

Mostly likely due to it's popularity when I was just getting into biking I was always partial to the Kenny Roberts replica RZ350. It was so different than everything else out there at the time as a light nimble rocket.

Naaa You cannot put a single bike in this catagory as there are seriously hundreds.  AJS E95 Porcupine, Norton Manx, Vincint Black Shadow (First Superbike ever), Norton 750 commando, Ducati 851, 90ss, 916, and most resent 1299 Panengail R the last Vtwin superbike form Ducati.  Including Honda RC166 a 6 cylinder 250, Bennelli 900 Tornado, BSA A65 (Any year) Triumphs T120 and T140 Bonnies, Yamaha XS650, RD's, TDRs, TZs, M1R
but most of all the 2006 R1 Limted But ya I am biased :)

The Vincent and Norton Commando would definitely make my list. I'm thinking no one would need an aftermarket pipe for one of these.

Although I do love the VMax and the RZ350 I don't think of them as cool, I think of them as bad-ass. When I think of cool I get images of cool movie stars on bikes and the bike that many were cool on was a Triumph. The pics speak for themselves.

Probably gonna have to go with the sportster on this one. Old school cool, but also still very relevant today. They also haven't changed a lot since the old days.

Drag Racing bikes have always caught my attention- This one bike, granted its a Harley but man o man, this bike is a work of art... Gunslinger Racing... to see and hear it in person is jaw dropping as to how clean and simple looking the bike is...its times are dipping to into the 3.90 range for the 1/8 mile
