JA50N
This was my last bike. SV1000N. Should have never sold it but "life changes" were coming that never actually materialized. So 5 years after selling it I got a new street bike, the FZ.
yamahaha
Some great bikes and pics! I won't bore everyone with every bike. I'm old and between the wife and I we've owned many motorcycles. The most memorable were: 64? suzuki 50 (first bike) indestructible. 73 kawasaki 500 triple (wheelie machine). 74 kawasaki 900 (rickman cafe race fairing and eventually a yoshimura 1100 cc kit with cams and 4/1 exhaust) my fave ride of all time). 86 kawasaki klr 250 (wife's first bike) 2002 yamaha vmax (had lots of fun with it despite its shortcomings) 2004 suzuki gsxr 750 2005 hayabusa (broke my heart to sell it a couple years ago) We still have a burgman scooter and a vstrom. May sell both and buy the fz09 as the wife has taken to the fz07. The scooter is no end of fun but the strom is blah.

Looks like a lot of people who have owned a lot of bikes (including me), are not looking for huge power and fastest. Just an observation. Why can't left turners see us? Kwaipuak
Incoming long post. I started out with my first bike in 2006 by buying this rocking 100cc Honda Dream. Baskets add more hp than stickers. It's also the engine that would become the msx 125/grom. Went with GF and family to a morning market and bought it. 4 gears, semi auto (only controlled by foot). Great way to be introduced to bikes. Then one day at our apartment, I saw this little bike, and thought it would be hilarious to shove a big engine on it. I found out I wasn't the the only one, enter the Honda Chaly. There is a HUGE custom scene for these all throughout asia and I have been dying to import one here. We have the mini trails, not the Chaly. Here is my first one in Green and then purple, I put a 100cc engine from a dream and a piston from a Kawasaki in it for a whopping 112cc. Sold it in 2008 moved back to the US, then back to Thailand and bought a new project. This time I bought a Honda nice, a 110cc 4 speed manual. I bought that at the morning market outside the city at 5am... They also sold water buffalo there. Well instead of me waking up at 4:30 to get a truck/taxi out I figured it would be a great idea to drink until 4am and then sober up on the way there. Buy a bike and ride it back despite only ever having a 5 minute lesson on riding with a clutch. The locals found it hilarious that a hungover white guy was haggling in Thai. After a nice breakfast and lots of water I went home and by the time I made it home I knew how to ride. I then began to sticker bomb the forks and swing arm. I actually still own this bike and have it tucked away in a friend's house. (ignore the lack of gear retardation please, also it has been raised like 4-5 inches) Now the Nice 110 and other Chaly that was meant to be bored up to 160cc The underbone scooter dragracers (yes its a thing) hve managed to get 240cc out of the 110cc engine... Friend's awesome 2 stroke 50cc moped (can pedal it) and the front tire of a classic Yamaha DT-100 in the background.
Kwaipuak
Then some friends invited me on a 1000km ride but I only had small bikes, the Chaly and a black 125cc dream. So I rented a CBR250 for a weekend and then rented an Er6n for the trip and fell in love. I then picked up a 2011 Er6f from an Englishman looking to move back home. I also bought this Twainese copy of a 110cc Honda Win when I did a 3000km ride of Northern Vietnam. Bought and sold in 2 weeks. I named her Eileen. Finally I joined this forum and found a member selling this beauty:
drey
I bought my first bike in May 2011 (2007 Yamaha R6). I LOVED that thing. I put 16k miles on it in 2 years. Then, I had a nasty low-side. Two years later (February 2015), I bought a Honda Grom. I like that thing too, but it's too slow. Now I'm in the buying process for a new FZ-07. R6: Wrecked R6: Grom: P.S. This is my first post ever. I'm not one for posting in new member sections... Or really posting at all. I like to lurk.

Global Moderator sorkyah Posted May 20, 2015 Global Moderator Share Posted May 20, 2015 First bike was an 06 sportster 1200 turbo. Bought it used off craigslist for a grand, it needed tires and a ignition cylinder. After i sold that and moved to pittsburgh i bought an 09 buell blast. Kept that for a year then sold it before moving back to phoenix. And up until august of last year i hadnt had a bike. I love the fz, might end up getting a 9 as well Tried finding a pic of the bikes but apparantly i didnt keep any. ATGATT... ATTATT, two acronyms I live by. Premium Member yamahappy74 Posted May 20, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted May 20, 2015 I bought my '08 Triumph Street Triple last year on May 3rd. I loved it immediately, especially since it had been 10 years since I trashed my R6 and hadn't been on a bike since (not out of fear; I had a kid, so riding took a back seat). Unfortunately, I realized rather quickly that the underseat exhaust was going to be a problem. I developed tinnitus pretty quickly over the summer. So I looked into a low mount exhaust but choices are slim for that bike and I didn't have $1500 to do it. So my only other real option was to sell it and buy something else with a low mounted exhaust. I can't remember how I found out about the FZ-07, but I loved the look of it immediately and proceeded to research the hell out of it. I put my bike up for sale, sold it, and had the FZ-07 all within the span of 4 days. Still, as much as I love my FZ, I do miss having my Triumph, if for no other reason than it was a damn good looking bike; a head turner for sure. Beemer
Had a 2000' Yamaha XT 350 for playing around on. Had to kick start it every time but I'm used to that. Could do highway speeds and was a blast to get off the road once in a while when I saw a new trail. Super light/quick, cheap insurance, miss it a little. drey
Howdy, and welcome. Can you explain the R6 lowside?Just curious. I went through a corner way too hot. I usually rode this road about 3 times a week, so I was comfortable... maybe too comfortable. It slid off of the road, and then it hit the ditch. When that happened, both the bike and I went flying through the air.
