Some lighting options.... Fantastic for ultra low power usage and being conspicuous. I have 6x flanking my windcsreen...https://www.bikevis.com/product/bikevis-bullets-v2-motorcycle-running-lights/ Arent cheap and there definitely are less pricey pods out there but they are excellent and bulletproof quality, led spots and fogs. 4x of these stacked in twos, mounted low on the forks...https://www.motorcycleinnovations.ca/product_p/tt-dm.htm Love my lighting projects. Anything I can do to be seen out there. I'd suggest a rad guard for your wishlist. Members have fabricated their own with really nice results at a fraction of the cost. Stay safe out there. How do you deal with not being able to lock the Shad side cases? I'd be leery of leaving my helmet in the side case if it can't be secured. Edit: Nevermind I spoke with SHAD and see that "All SHAD Cases are fully lockable so the contents are 100% locked." DewMan Just shut up and ride. I'll be moving in to Austin for 4 months starting end of August and was wondering if there is any chance to rent/buy some cheap bike/scooter there? I should probably also mention that I live in Ireland, and I'm not American (so I expect the insurance to be a killer in majority of scenarios). This one has good reviews: https://lonestarmotorentals.com. Also Flash Motorbikes is doing scooter rentals now. It's a great little mechanic shop here. http://flashmotorbikes.com Also insurance is wayyy cheaper here compared to my Canadian homies anyway. You need a lot less in guaranteed coverage, so most of the higher cost is pretty optional. I pay about $150 a year for my FZ07 with USAA/Progressive. Up from $77 a year for my Zuma 125 scooter. Hey also just check out what's up on Craigslist. Lots of people in the Austin/San Antonio general area selling bikes, especially as it gets hotter this summer.
