etorty
[...] R6 rear wheel conversion kit [...] R6 triples R6 front calipers [...] R6 forks with Ohlins 25mm TTX gas cartridges [...] Hi @miah , I'm curious about the R6 conversion, first for the front... Any news about the different offset of the triple's plates? For what I've seen on my MT-07 the original offset is about 40 mm. And the R6 offset is less, I think about 30 mm. Do you've done some math about that difference? Some cad simulation? Where do you've bought the R6 forks? In the picture it seems to be a brand-new set. Anyway, my compliments for your project!! www.MT-Series.it Yamaha Official MT-Series Club

suetema
What are the extra things that have to be added in order for it to be street legal? Lights, license plate holder, ..? Also very interested in any updates btw
Premium Member fzar Posted August 11, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted August 11, 2017 Awesome project, I'm really interested in how the R6 front end comes together. I'm thinking I might do this myself if I can ever find enough time!!
suetema
@miah, @garbodp I'm not quite grasping how you will install the headlights, would you mind explaining? I'm contemplating making a build like this aswell somewhere in the nearish future.

heartofperformance
I am interested to know/see the final build as well. Currently contemplating about swapping with 2017 FZ-09 front-end to get the USD design and radially-mounted brake calipper to complete the proper performance bike looks Hopefully there is not much modification needed. Global Moderator jeffkisthename Posted November 2, 2017 Global Moderator Share Posted November 2, 2017 Yea, I've been thinking about doing a street FZ07R. I hope the OP is okay as well. I would love to see them finish this build.
sunblock
I wonder whether the ABS would still work/cooperate with the R6 forks...

paolojac
Never had its a '16. Put a rear shock on with the r6 rims. Kept all factory steering bearings. A few tweaks will probably still happen like re - locating the piggyback which I'll be hopefully making the bracket tonight. as you can see its kind of in harms way. If so can you tell me if the touch the tank at full lock? And also are those extended to the highest position in your photo?

Retrospectively I would have had triples made. One set of forks, two sets of triples. R6 rims No nice way to mount headlight so a new headlight. Bunch of small custom work to mount gauges and signals. New clip ons (I used apex because of the adjustability of them) Bunch of other odds and ends

miah
Hey sorry it's been a LONG time since I posted here. The bike was completed shortly after my last post but I don't do forums so I forgot to post here. I am currently selling the bike for $10,000. I posted it on Facebook because I don't have enough posts on here to post it here. Here are the completed pics as of today.
