bugeyes
Snow is gone on the roads and the forcast says ridable weather all week. Tonight I will dig up the gear from the closet, unhook the battery tender and get the bike out. Tomorrow I will ride to work. I hereby declare the 2017 riding season on!!! 8-) (rofl) P-)

Geuss it was too good to be true, winter had to hit us again. Got new red 2015 FZ-07 on 7/22/16! Black 2006 Honda ST1300 53K miles.
bugeyes
I live in Stockholm Sweden at 59.22 degrees north, the gulfstream is what keeps us reasonably warm here

bugeyes
It started right up in a second and i rode it to the local gas station to check the tire pressure. Then a short pleasure ride just because i could and it sure felt good. Feel for you who still have to wait but it's worth waiting for. Also feel sorry for those in warm places that never get the joy of the first ride after winter.
njdevils1990
When I had my FZ two winters ago I rode all winter. Michelin Pilot Road 3s were great in the cool temps and in 2 inches (5cm) of snow. I tend to ride all year round except when it's over 2 inches (5cm) of snow also had heated gear so temps were never an issue. 2003 Buell XB9R (2011-2011) Crashed 2009 Buell 1125CR (2011-2013) Sold 2015 Yamaha FZ-07 (2014-?) bugeyes
I'm not tough enough to ride in the frost and snow so I put it away in november until now. It sure feels good to ride again and next weeks forecast looks just as good.

We don't have those rules wich is somewhat strange actually, but very few ride during the winter. Well here starting the 16th of December (which is really late since we get snow before) and ending the 16th of March we are obligated to have Winter tires on our vehicles, the ones with a little pictogram showing it is a winter tire. And winter tires are really rare for motorcycles, I know one guy who has his winter motorcycle with winter tires but even there he can only ride it end of winter because he still finds it pretty slipery. But EVERY cop he sees stops him to check is tires. Worst thing for me is that I bought my FZ-07 and it's just sitting where I bought it waiting for me to ride it home

Guess they don't think anybody will try anyway. The bikes are coming out of their winter storage and I see more of them every day now. I rode to work 3 days this week but the coming week might be a bit colder with frost in the mornings. Today was -3 C when I woke up but already now at 10 an it's +5 C

Snow should go! Over here it's now spring for real and I commute on the bike most days, they even swept the sand off of most roads. Weekend before last was freaky warm with our standards with 20 C on Sunday, all time record for the place and date. Me and a friend did about 600 km over the weekend on the bikes.
