Premium Member Mr.Puss Posted March 29, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted March 29, 2017 Just bought 2 Shoei-Neotec modular helmets (both 'wine red' cause that's how Benny and wife roll) and begrudgingly, 2 ridiculously priced sets of 31mm cheek pads for my wife and myself. (cant order pads from US due to regulations) I gotta say those stock 35mm cheek pads were painfully tight to the point we looked like puckered goldfish, neither of us could talk clearly and we're not anywhere near overweight or moon faced. Its just another 170 bucks for the 2 sets of pads...just . Oh well, its a top of the line lid, what are you gonna do? Safety first and I feel good that my wife will be wearing this particular helmet. https://fortnine.ca/en/shoei-neotec-modular-helmethttps://fortnine.ca/en/shoei-neotec-cheek-pad-set I bought the neotec last year and got the thinnest pads they had. They eventually break in and fit fine. Right on! Thanks ninja, very good to know. Pardon my rant here; maybe its asking too much and unrealistic in expectations with this kind of thing, but after spending nearly a grand (cdn) on a lid it would've been a nice option to be able to choose/swap pad size instead of being stuck with the pads fit only for 60lb emaciated war-camp victims and heroin/meth heads. She-eesh. One cant have it all I suppose. Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women. Fuss Life.

Premium Member Mr.Puss Posted April 3, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted April 3, 2017 Bought a pair of "same-sies" boots for my wife. Next and lastly after figuring out her proper size, a really swell looking Dainese ladies leather jacket...and then we're finally ready to ride together for the first time !! How cool is that !? 8-) Man, now we're rocking the same pants, gloves, boots, helmets/colour, airvests. Hee hee, somehow we have the exact same tastes....we like each other. https://fortnine.ca/en/sidi-women-s-vertigo-lei-boots 2 Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. djarvis
Bought a blue ox weight distribution hitch for my truck. I will be using it when pulling my motorcycle. Beemer
Actually bought these yesterday. The night before I had a little accident (no, I didn't lay the bike down) and my protective eyewear decide to take a little hop & slide down the road. They didn't break (good stuff) but the Florida sea shells in the asphalt sure do scratch dafuq outa lenses. Anyways, you know the ol' saying, when you break 1 buy 4 so I did and here they are! https://www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Riding-Glasses-Smoke-Yellow/dp/B002UJVNFA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491400309&sr=8-1&keywords=motorcycle+glasses+for+men https://www.amazon.com/Polarized-Sunglasses-Cycling-Running-Unbreakable/dp/B01KO1JJ5G/ref=sr_1_125?ie=UTF8&qid=1491400428&sr=8-125&keywords=motorcycle%2Bglasses%2Bfor%2Bmen&th=1 Prime, so I get them tomorrow, schweeeeet! I really dig the foamy liner action as there's been a couple times with my visor just barely cracked Ive gotten something nasty in my eye that took me to the painful point of near blindness and a crash. If you're going to have your helmet shield up at speed those would be best, being that they're ANSI rated and maybe get a better seal with the head strap. I have to wonder about the comfort of them under a helmet, though. You're right, best if tried on first. I only ride with my shield up at low speeds so I'm not critical about them being ANSI rated. I may even take my chances and use the more expensive ones (w/o eye foam) from time to time because they're polarized and I really like that, it helps with glare a lot. 1 Beemer

Beemer
After testing these out yesterday it's my opinion that these glasses do a pretty good job of blocking wind. (wish they were polarized) They feel comfortable, easy to put on w/ helmet on, fit real close to the face and breath well. (faces are different so the seal may not be the same for everyone) In some reviews about them people have said that they don't like them because they have a problem with dry eyes and that they don't block wind. Well, they do block direct wind to the eyes but they're ventilated, that means designed to allow air to the eyes so duh, you get the dry eye! I have the dry eye problem myself but I don't expect miracles. So, if your eyes are air sensitive buy goggles w/o ventilation but don't expect miracles there either, expect hot & sweaty around the eyes. www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Riding-Glasses-Smoke-Yellow/dp/B002UJVNFA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491400309&sr=8-1&keywords=motorcycle+glasses+for+men 1 Beemer
