Heavy fuel smell even after 2WDW flash?

Recommended Posts

I got the 2WDW flash just before Christmas. I have an Akrapovic Carbon and no other mods. I've noticed a rather intense fuel smell as of late. I don't think it's ever not been there since installing the exhaust, but I've noticed it a lot lately for some reason. I kind of figured the flash would affect it to where maybe the fueling wouldn't be so heavy. Anyone else experience this with the flash?

I noticed an increase in smell but not what I'd call heavy.

If your worried, Change the oil, and make sure the airfilter is clean. But yes the tune is designed to make the bike run proper and not lean like it comes from Factory. Also the elimination of the cat may be compounding the "heavy" sensation.

Unless smoke is coming out, just ride the piss out of it!

Once fuel has been atomized and detonated, it shouldn't really smell like fuel anymore. Maybe you have an unrelated fuel leak somewhere in the system / spill from the last fill up.

Eliminating the cat will cause an increased sulphur (egg) smell.

Any black smoke? If yes, you're running rich. Make sure you got the right tune.
