External battery connector not working?

Recommended Posts

liami

I tried putting more air into my tires with an air pump that connects into that connector on the right side of the bike (without opening the seat). It wouldn't work. It works on my stepdad's busa so it kinda tells me it's just the connector that isn't connected. Anyone know exactly what to do to fix that? I don't know what it's called so it's hard to look up online...

I assume it is fused and a compressor draws way too many amps. Check and see.

I'll check that probably tomorrow and let you know. I'm out and about today...

There is no oem connector that your referring to. Probably added by your dealer prior to purchase. Take some pictures and then we can give you an accurate diagnosis

I've been reading that most fz07s have it. Maybe the 2016 versions do, 2014 don't?

False.
It is just a very common dealer add on.

Okay, do they actually connect it to the battery or just put it on there as an option for you to connect yourself?
