Beemer Posted September 18, 2016 Share Posted September 18, 2016 I don't know who you are specifically talking about because many have un snorkeled by way of simply removing the cap over the filter and running with an exposed filter. I did that at first for awhile. I put a fine screen over mine and it stayed in place but looked like crap. If that's what you're looking to do you could always cut out the snorkel and the material around it. Cut it close to the edge of the lip so that there's still a huge opening but still has the ability to be screwed down over top of some screen mesh that's cut to size. That I haven't tried but I'm sure it would work and look better than just having loose screen laying on top and hoping it stays in place.
