Paint Front Fender.

Recommended Posts

I've got the Red bike. Am I the only one who wants to paint part of the front fender red?

Just like the white parts on the white bikes. That small part on the left and right.

Anyone found a match for the red paint? I know about Colorite, etc.  Too much $$ for a rattle can. They also say it's a tri-color paint. Need 3 cans.  ;-|

I was thinking this:  http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion-for-plastic/  In Gloss Red Pepper.

Got new red 2015 FZ-07 on 7/22/16!
Black 2006 Honda ST1300 53K miles.

Just passing on some info to you as I have to others. Taking that part to a professional and having them color match and paint it for you will cost you virtually nothing and it will look great. I had the plastic space between my two seats painted, as well as the rear piece behind the passenger seat, and the pivot covers. They are a perfect match and were CHEAPLY and professionally done. You can mail them the front fender, tell them what you want done and they'll do it. They already have the red paint because they just completed my bike with some new painted and powdercoated parts last week. Just a suggestion for you and a quick and easy resolution.

I say if you trust yourself enough to do it and think you can paint to where you'll be satisfied, then by all means do it. Nothing beats the satisfaction of DIY's as long as it looks how it's supposed to. Just make sure to spend the money on the correct paints, etc.

If you don't think you have the ability to paint or do any type of DIY yourself, then take it to get professionally painted.

Look at a body/collision shop
easiest way ia to give them the paint code... and ask how much...
its not much paint at all

When i had my tank panels done the shop quoted me 380... adding the two fender pieces from a white bike cost 40 bucks more

Ended up going directly to the painter and asking
200 for all 5 pieces

Just gotta shop around as it is... and get the paint code
