A long time coming

Hello all, the title says it all. I have been a member on this forum ever since I bought the bike back at the end of Feb. but haven't yet posted. I have had my 2016 black FZ07 for about five months and love this bike to death! To let you know a little bit about me, I am 23 years old, from Nebraska and have been riding on the street since I was 16. My previous bike was a Honda Shadow. So far I have a little over 10200 miles on the bike and still going! I have added a few mods to the bike such as: a fender eliminator kit, radiator guard, Power commander, K&N air filter and Akra TI exhaust (no db killer 8-) ).  Just returned from a long distance trip to Colorado Springs (rode up Pikes Peak!).

Welcome! Tell us about your trip, did you do it alone? Where did you carry your stuff?  :)

My first bike was also a Honda Shadow, I had the Spirit variation. Good bike, but the FZ is a lot more fun!

Congrats on the bike and mods!

The trip was riding from Lincoln, NE to Colorado Springs. The total trip was 6 days of riding, and while in Colorado Springs I drove up Pikes Peak, rode to the Royal Gorge and did some canyon riding. The trip was solo and everything was packed into two saddle bags and a tail bag. It was a wonderful experience and if you haven't ever traveled by bike before I highly recommend it. Below are two shots of the bike from the top of Pikes Peak and the other is a picture of me entering Colorado.
