Always ride cautiously. Especially on road popular with bikers because you ways have the asses that will do stupid things like hand razor wire at neck level, or as someone did on Mulhulland, last year I think, pour oil in the road.
 
I can't wrap my head about people that wanna treat the street as a track. It isn't cleaned, properly controlled, or even maintained. Too many hazards. Then again maybe I'm just old at heart. I hope nothing but the best for them. Hopefully they've only a wounded pride.
