service manual - loctite

The service manual calls for loctite on some hardware. Is it the red, or the blue?

Probably blue. Red is a bit more permanent.

Both are used... but medium-strength thread-locker will be right 99% of the time.

Considering the softness of the 07 bolt heads I would be VERY careful where you used red. Even blue has made some bolt heads turn out Noteably the foot plate bolts which have self destructed on a lot of bikes according to users of the Aussie facebook page. I replaced all of them with stainless and a small amount of locktight.

Yeah, red's considered pretty permanent. And green!, well it's gotta be heated too hot to touch before it'll let go.

Green and orange are awesome products though
if ya forget to hit rhe threads, at the very least the bolt head wont budge

ATGATT... ATTATT, two acronyms I live by.
