timjh
Ummm. The 8th photo, showing removal of the last fastener for the side panel, shows an Allen screw head. I don't have that, but rather one of those push-pin plastic body fasteners. What's the trick for removing that without breaking anything. Drill it and buy a new one? Drill it and buy a new one? check out this video also: http://fz07.org/thread/2723/ecu-removal You take a small flathead screwdriver and push in the center of those things, and then use the screwdriver to pull out the fastener. FTR, the picture is misleading -- he's using an allen head driver to push in the pushpin -- it's not an allen screw.
Premium Member biggaudi Posted April 28, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted April 28, 2016 I was wondering if I can still turn on the bike with the ECU removed and if it is safe to do so. Reason being that I would like to replace my turn signals and see if they function properly while I wait for the return of the ECU.
