wojo72
Does anybody happen to know what size socket I need for the front fork caps? I tried a 22mm but it felt a little bit sloppy. I'm actually thinking that I'll use a wrench because I don't want to mess with the handle bars. I am going to use a triple tree lift. Are there any other tips that can make this job easier? Has anybody successfully removed the oil from the top? I wouldn't mind dumping some thicker oil into the forks while I have them cracked open. gregjet
Stock caps are 22m. Matt's inserts are 24mm. The chinese adjustables I bought before the inserts are also 24mm Go forth and modify my son...go forth and modify...
wojo72
Caps are installed. Not a silver bullet but it did reduce brake dive a little bit. Not bad for $35.
bmwpowere36m3
You'd need a more dramatic change in spring rate, oil weight or damping (via damping rod or cartridge kits) to see a change in brake dive....
bmwpowere36m3
Adding preload doesn't make the spring any stiffer... it just changes how much initial force it takes to compress the spring.
