caliesv
@caliesv - Is it anything like what this guy had to do in this video? It involved trimming the light a bit to get it to fit... [video src=https://youtu.be/obqGWFsjslg] I never seen that video. Wish I had b4 I put mine in. That's actually a much better, sturdier way to mount them. If you have the means to follow that video, I would.
Premium Member motomeek Posted July 7, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted July 7, 2016 @caliesv - Thanks for being so prompt in your responses. I'll have to watch the video again to decide if that's what I want to do. Oh DRLs. 1 Instagram: @meekmade | You don't need to flat foot a bike to ride it. The plastic diffuser sheets that they use for office lighting. Not sure exactly what they are called though

Did you have to bend or vacuum form the covers at all? -Zach

I didn't glue because it's not a final setup that I want. When I figure out everything perfectly I will be posting a how to video to my YouTube channel.

hugson2wheels
Got these on today from eBayer creese1 (Chris Reese). He replies fast to any questions and ships items out even faster. Highly recommended as others have also posted. I got the kit with DRLs wiring and the metal plates. I didn't need to use the plates that came with the kit. Furthermore I cut and soldered the wires instead of running the new wires that came with the kit. I reused the rubber mounts and simply used the nuts that came with these LEDs to mount them on the rubber. They work and look great. I included some pics and included a pic for size comparison compared to the huge oem fugly signals. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/331940975564 If god created us in his image, does that mean god is an egomaniac as well?

huntb
Custom amber LEDs under the passenger pillion. Next step is to write code and wire them up to make them sequential!
superfishal
Word is TST industries will have flush mount turn signals with a halo running light for the r3 which would be compatible with the 7. I really can't stand how the orange pumpkins look anymore but I'm willing to wait until they come out with those.

I'd probably say yes because of the teardrop shape of the cut out.

monkey
Pardon the bug guts. I have flush mount turn signals, but after riding with them for awhile I decided they are a little too flush. I 3D printed some angles so they can be a little more visible from the front. I don't have any signals on the rear, they are integrated into my brake light.
gooch
Wanted Yamaha euro signals with the clear lenses, but hard to find and too much $$$ to ship when I did find them Bought OEM signals for KTM Adventure. No running lights, but I don't see that on many other bikes anyway.

gooch
Honestly, super cheap and easy to make with parts from 3 different vendors: https://www.motodynamic.com/yamaha-turn-signal-adapters-spacers-for-aftermarket-stalk-type-indicators-front-or-rear.html https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-schematic/2 "lighting system" 10 78114025000 FLASHER CPL.FRONT L/S REAR R/S $27.39 $21.91 10+ In-Stock 11 78114026000 FLASHER CPL.FRONT R/S REAR L/S $27.39 $21.91 10+ In-Stock (I bought lock nuts and washers from Ace Hardware for a buck) https://tstindustries.com/TST-Yamaha-Y-Style-Signal-Harness-Splitter.html After all was installed, turn signals were flashing too fast because new bulbs are 10W and old are 21w, so just put this on today and everything is fine. https://tstindustries.com/TST-LED-Flasher-Relay-Gen2.html If you can manufacture your own angled mounts, slapping these parts together should be a snap. The only modification I had to make was to drill a hole into two spacers to accept the alignment tab on the turn signals. image posting sites
gooch
Sorry, referenced incorrect harness splitter, it was the converter plug: https://tstindustries.com/TST-Yamaha-Signal-Plug-Converters-3-to-3.html
