Hey Guy's
New member here from Twickenham just on the outskirts of London.
I have been riding a little over the years but never got around to taking my bike test, been far too envolved in cars and have had a fair few over the years. I still have a passion for them and own an Escort RS Cosworth as another weekend toy but I have found a new passion for riding since changing job which is so much easier to get to on a bike.
I've been riding around on a MT/FZ125 in preparation for my test and pick up my 07 in 2 weeks, and I cant wait.
The bike is Matt Grey and have LED indicators and an Akra fitted by the dealers. I have also been looking at other mods starting with the suspension and have already read threads regarding the Andreani and Matt's forks, I have also been looking into Maxton who make both carts for the front and a rear shock... decisions decisions.... I cant help myself when it comes to modding, comes from the cars I guess, my Escort is very highly modified.
Anyways... hello :)

Thanks for the welcomes guys :)
I cant wait to ride that missile
Here's a picture of the Escort, not very good ones as you cant see the colour properly and it doesn't do it justice. Since this was taken I have had a new engine built buy a guy that used to build Cosworth rally and touring car engines, although thats all wrapped up in the garage and still need to fit it.

Welcome! I mean no disrespect but to be honest, Ford Escorts have never been much to speak of (over here across the pond) as far as cool or fast cars go but just looking at that put's Escorts in a different light. It's the best looking Escort I've ever seen to date to be sure. No one over here fixes up Ford Escorts and it's a rarity to even see a stock one on the road. I did see an old Datson B210 the other day and was surprised but this surprised me more. Please tell me it is fast and handles well, that it's not just another pretty face. Nice looking car!

Hey mate, thank you very much. The Escorts is Europe are completely different to those in America, that being said the Escorts earlier than mine there was a model called RS Turbos, 1.6L turbo charged CVH's, to obtain more power people used to get the American 1.9L CVH blocks known as American Tall Block.
My Escort is a road going rally car, its a 2L twin cam turbo charged with 4 wheel drive. It looks like that stock, all that has been changed what you can see is the wheels and the head lights. Actually the front splitter and side bits are carbon fibre but the look the same as the stock ones, also you can just about see the huge front mounted intercooler.
The rules for the rallying were that they had to release a certain number of road going versions, which I think was around 2500. They only actually made around 7150 of these cars world wide, they are quite legendary. I think there are a few in the states
Once my engine is run in I'll be pushing around 420hp and when I have a new turbo fitted I should be pushing around 550hp and handles like its on rails. I'm aiming of 0-60mph in around 3 seconds.
Heres a little info about it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Escort_RS_Cosworth
And a short video on one tuned by an Italian tuner
Here's a picture of an earlier RS Turbo with the CVH engine

Its certainly a rarity to see a "true" escort here in the states. the closest we ever really got was the old Probe rs.
That being said, had a friend of mine import one from your lovely country and with it being rhd, awd, and 485whp in the states is a nightmare to drive.
Maybe you can say screw the body and cram all of your turbocharged hottness into a moto-frame. Hell on 2 wheels(or 3 might be kinda cool too... kind of like the Polaris Slingshot with 550hp)

Maybe you'll get a rear car one day... (91 talon-tsi/eclipse-gsx :P) I miss mine, shouldn't have ever sold it. 430whp, rwd conversion, and it'd smoke mustangs and camaros all day long.

That is a rarity in he states, I bet people wondered what the hell it was. They are actually very easy to convert to rear wheel drive as they share the same floor pan as the Sierra's. I wanna keep it awd though as they are such a rare car. Now that would be interesing on a bike, it would be bloody heavy though.
I have had a couple of rear wheel drive cars, I had a BMW 335d which had a remap and a lot of people under estimated that, it had so much torque..
