FZ-07... With an FZ-09 headlight???????

Has anybody even dared to give this bike a facelift? I am looking at the angle of the plastic covers on both bikes and I am almost sure that this would work. If Yamaha parts are refundable, I might give this a shot...

The two bolt holes on top of each assembly are very similar:

Now let me know what you think... Should I try this?

Would Yamaha allow me to return the part if it doesn't fit?

Please show your support and leave a comment!!!!

UPDATE

This would probably not work unless the entire fork was swapped. Was just at a dealership, the headlight bolts were too far apart to seem close to fitting easily.

I would prefer to keep this bike as standard as possible, without any retrofitting or modification... this bike is just too precious to hack up!

Dont be an effin hater.

If the main problem is simply the spacing of the bolts I see no reason a simple aluminum bracket couldn't be made to "correct" this... and, the possible vertical difference that might also be the case, as suggested in the two parts pix.
