Tail light activation

Recommended Posts

Was dicking with my bike a few days ago and I noticed my brake light only activates via the front brake lever. Does using your rear brake pedal activate your tail light? If someone could check that would be awesome.

That's kinda what I figured but I figured id ask before I start diagnosing something that didn't need it.

The switch is adjusted up and down by nuts they are plastic and a bit fiddly to get to so care is needed,
it's connected by a spring so push the lever down then press on the spring with ignition on that will
move the switch a little more and if it lights then you know it's the adjustment.

When you say "dicking" do you mean you dicked around with the brake wiring as well? Even if not, I would still check the connections, it is suppose to alert people you're braking, just like with the front brake. Good luck!

Thanks guys. I pulled off my pegs, and whatever the hell that other plate is and got to the switch that activates it, just had to turn the plastic nut so the plunger would get pulled out farther.
