dewey
Hi everybody, I will receive my bike soon and I already booked my akrapovic titanium exhaust. I was wondering when is the best time to install it: - As soon as you get the bike, it is better to run the first kilometers with it (the breaking in, right? (I am not native english speaker)). - After the first revision (1000km), the engine will not support the akrapovic exhaust at the beginning! Thanks for the help, Dewey. Premium Member snowdriftless Posted August 25, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 25, 2015 Do the break-in with the stock exhaust. P1: Vice? I have no vice, I'm as pure as the driven snow! P2: Yeah but you've been drifting All the gear all the time!

Premium Member username Posted August 25, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 25, 2015 I swapped out the exhaust and chucked the EJK in at 600 km. Still haven't busted my bike. Mind you, I'm a clueless noob that don't know nothing bout motorbicycles.

stefano225
What's wrong with you people! He's asking a serious question! Before you start the engine, you don't want to touch a hot exhaust don't ask why I just know.
RapidFZ
For what it's worth I changed my exhaust and added my EJK within the first 10-15 miles or so. I am now over 1000 with no noticeable issues. I wish that I would have waited longer so that I could feel if the change made any difference as I didn't ride it hard before I changed it. Premium Member hobbs Posted August 25, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 25, 2015 Does not matter when you install it, from a mechanical or break in point of view. Everything went braap.
