Maverick
Hello FZ members! I bought my white FZ-07 a month ago and already have 1000 miles on it. I live in San Francisco and if anyone wants to meet up or if theres a Yamaha Club around here, i'd love to see what roads there are. Below I have a picture of Maverick and I taking a nice trip yesterday. There isn't too much done with her yet. Frame sliders, Rear Axle Sliders, Fender Eliminator, Givi Windscreen and red reflective rim tape. Planned upgrades: Akrapovic Exhaust, Paint job, Turn Signals, Shorty Levers, and Fuel Controller. Below is a long term picture of what I want Maverick (the bike) to look like. This is a completely fictitious picture, but I am a decent photoshop wizard. This is how I want her to look in a year or two. This is long term. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Premium Member rowdy Posted August 10, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 10, 2015 Welcome to the forum. Nice FZ and I like the photoshop version (although those knobs look like it will be very much a dirt bike). It definitely looks badass! Why can't left turners see us? Premium Member hippiebikerchick Posted August 10, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 10, 2015 Welcome maverick! I hope removing that pesky warning label on the tank is on your list of mods. I've ridden my red one through SF a time or two. (south bay here) Drop a white pin on our member map so we can find you! Premium Member snowdriftless Posted August 10, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 10, 2015 Welcome! I like the picture. I was thinking about turning my FZ-07 into an ADV machine. You can already get a skidplate, fork gaiters, and TKC80s. P1: Vice? I have no vice, I'm as pure as the driven snow! P2: Yeah but you've been drifting All the gear all the time! bmwpowere36m3
Think you'll have a tough-time finding a 17" knobby to fit the wide rear rim… otherwise cool looking concept.
Maverick
rewplayff, its a Shark Raw Helmet. Got it off Amazon for cheap and its DOT approved. Yeah snowdriftless, I saw those parts and was definitely looking into it. I do like the naked approach and really wouldnt take it off road. I like the look. Kind of like Daryl's bike off of Walking Dead. thanks bmwpowere36m3. If I can find the tire, that would be legit. Might have to change the rim if thats the case.
