Premium Member yamahappy74 Posted July 27, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted July 27, 2015 I think ample application of brakes would've been sufficient to avoid this. It just seems as though the rider was not watching what was happening in front of him.
pattonme
> Aim for that window and accelerate Almost never the right idea to accelerate into an unknown situation. Unless someone is about to run you over then sure, get out of the way but this situation was trivially solved by slowing and if needed going into the conveniently empty opposing traffic lanes if unable to stop in time or numb-nuts behind the rider was likewise oblivious and was going to plow into the slowing rider. Horn and brakes should be the goto in almost every case.
aeisan
I see your point, but I'll take a clean exit over the potential to get rear-ended because of emergency braking any day. Again, it's not easy to get the full picture from one video's perspective. Life is good on 2 wheels!
