roadrunner Posted July 5, 2015 Share Posted July 5, 2015 Nothing special about the ride, but felt great! I guess the one thing that might be special is I saw Jay Leno's Kawi H2. That thing is so awesome. Oh and he's pretty cool too. The ride consisted of the beginning of the east end of Mulholland highway, quick stop at Kings gillete ranch, then all the way to the restaurant right before the "snake". That's where I saw the H2/Jay. Then turned around to las virgenes rd, south to pch. Subway sandwich break. Then back up las virgenes rd, back to Mulholland going east, then went home. Weather was perfect, just perfect This was also the first time I tried out wearing ear plugs. At first it was a little odd, but as soon as I got on the freeway they made a huge difference. I thought they'd hinder my riding somehow, with hearing less and all. And it's true you don't hear as much, but it actually increased my focus because I realized all the wind noise is way more distracting. And when I had them at quick picture stops at Mulholland and it kinda made the experience better. Everything was quiet with the beautiful views ahead. Today was awesome!!! When I went I stopped at the rock store, right before the snake. I've been down that road before on my previous bikes, but I'm just not interested anymore this time around. BTW the way I'm confused, are you going to ACH or Mulholland? The rock store is at Mulholland... Which is not close to ACH lol. When I was at the base of the mountain I actually PM'd you my phone number so we could meet up but I was having issues with my cell service up there and I don't think it went through, as I don't even see it in my sent PM's box.
