Premium Member speedingtickets Posted July 18, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted July 18, 2015 This bike is EASY! I was nervous too. Coming fresh off a KTM 250 XCF and having broken some bones over the years, I did not realize that I had more experience than I thought. That off road stuff in New Hampshire is brutal. I had not ridden on a street for 20 years, and the last time I did, I crashed. Within two weeks of buying the FZ-07 I was going over 100 mph, in one Month I put a jet kit, stabilizer and aftermarket exhaust, now going 110+ (faster if I had a better suspension). It has now been over 2 months and 3700 miles, and I am confident I can handle an R1. I will trade up next year. My front wheel came up once, I gently put it down and it did not phase me. Just lay down on the tank and distribute your weight evenly over the bike to keep it down when in launch mode. The R1 has an electronic gyroscope that prevents wheel lift and a million other things that could go wrong. Check out Yamaha's video. Good luck.
