I was just about to buy an Ermax Seat cowl in satin blue and black. My question is can anyone confirm that Satin Blue is the same color as liquid graphite? I want to make sure it will match. If not ill just get satin black. Thank you in advance

This might be useful: http://www.ermax.fr/catalogue-Moto-EN
Page 85 has the colors, the FZ07/MT07 products start on pg 48.
Thank you very much. This is the last item that i need to get for my bike and ive gotten everything that i wanted to get for it.
Yeah, right. People keep making new stuff. I am amazed how much stuff you can get for a naked bike. And I need most of it :)

I just called Motomachines and they confirmed that the satin blue was the same color as liquid graphite so i placed an order for the seat cowl.

I chose the flat black with satin blue. Hope it all works out but if they say it matches than it will look good.

@fz07fanboy, that is a good list but I expect you will find more stuff that you 'need'. How about a comfy seat (I am waiting for my Seat Concepts one to arrive) or suspension upgrades just to name two. I am not sure I will ever have everything I need :)

As far as the comfy seat, right now i'm not looking into it. I'm ok with whats on there. I don't commute on the bike so i'm good with that. If later i feel it needs more padding i'll just have more added to the stock seat. There are plenty of upholstery places around here. I haven't taken the DB killer out yet. I feel its loud enough with it in. Especially at idle and when you snap or get on the throttle. I love the sound. Cruising speed its quiet and i'm ok with that. Get on the throttle to pass from cruising and she growwwwwwls

Intrexion thank you so much for sharing those pictures. Love the seat cowl and can't wait till mine arrives. I ordered it but they didn't have that color in Stock so it will be a 2 week wait ????. I love that windscreen. May have to copy you.

No problem! The seat cowl's black is a little bit off but you'd have to look real hard to see it.

The screen is really awesome! It totally transforms the front of the bike in my opinion, was a great buy. Its the "DPM Race Warrior" screen from France.

  • 4 years later...

Looking to buy a blue seat cowl. Ive seen the 'Ermax' ones pop up a lot which around £140 and then on Amazon there's a small variety all around £40. I'd expect there to be some difference in quality and when reading reviews some said they scratch quite easy but is the quality on the Ermax one a lot better? I can't seem to find many other brands that make them.

I bought the "cheap" seat cowl off eBay... You get what you pay for! I replaced it with the OEM Yamaha after two years. The cheap "knock-off" was cracking/falling apart. I replaced it with the OEM Yamaha seat cowl a couple months ago. Wish I had gone that route from the start- MUCH better quality. Hope that helps you out 😎-

I got the cheap eBay one as well but wrapped it so it may last a little longer. Eventually I will probably get the Yamaha one as well.

I had some time on my hands, and did some looking. It appears that Yamaha doesn't make one for the MT-07, just the FZ-07, (which is different). I'd call a Yamaha dealer to verify, but I can't find anything? I even went the the Genuine accessories site. Good luck-

@cornerslider sorry I didn't refresh the page before my last comment. I've seen a few on Ebay but im assuming these are for the FZ-07. I didn't realise there was a difference. Yeah sounds like ill have to do a little more research, don't really wanna fork out £120 for a second hand one if it doesn't fit. Cheers!

So I purchased a seat cowl from Ebay, which was from a Yamaha dealer. The part is genuine but I think was built for a 2017 model. The fitments and orientation of everything on my original passenger seat and the new seat cowl are almost identical other than what is circled in the picture. however the little buckle will not quite click in. Has anyone ever tried anything like this before? I am trying to fit onto a 2019 model.

Yes that is from a 2017 and below. Not going to work on a 19. I am not sure if Yamaha makes one for the 19. I would call a dealer and return the one you got. Sorry, that’s all I have for you.

@1tondriver its annoyingly so close to fitting and it looks so nice with with it on. The little plastic ridge where the rubber circular things would go is in the way and the rubber grommet above the tail light sits a little too high.

They changed the front/rear seat in 18. It is close but I have not heard of anyone making it work. I wish I had better news for you.
