Premium Member pgeldz Posted March 27, 2015 Author Premium Member Share Posted March 27, 2015 So thanks to everyone's input here I decided to go with the "SP" nomenclature. The "SP" designation fits the theme of my project perfectly, as my bike is more like a Special Edition commemorating my naked race bike project rather than a true R model. I've been hard at work in Paint Shop Pro coming up with a graphic for this, and decided to combine logo themes from Yamaha's racing history to tie everything together. The main graphic design for the logo follows the theme of the current YZR M1 MotoGP bike. The "Z" is a direct copy, and I made the "F" from scratch to follow the same design. The "SP" came from the ID plate off the 2006 R1 SP, and it's cut out of the "7" in the same manor as the "M" is cut out of the new 2015 R1M logo. Pictured is the actual YZF M1 from the MotoGP bike, with my version above it.
