LED harnesses and relay questions

I picked up the yoshi tail tidy and a set of these [http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bikemaster-spade-led-turn-signals] blinkers from Revzilla over the winter and now that the snow is melting I'm starting to get ready to install them.

I've ordered this flasher relay from ebay [http://www.ebay.ca/itm/281619428889] - will it be OK for the job or should I go for this [http://www.customled.com/products/elfr-1-electronic-led-flasher-relay]?

I'd rather not cut the existing wiring harness and found these on customled.com [http://www.customled.com/products/yamaha-oem-turn-signal-connectors-3-wire], Does anybody know if they will fit on an FZ-07?

Thanks

@burgershot, I used that same wiring harness both front and back. The back one only uses two of the wires but they both use the same three wire connector. I also used the Custom LED relay as it is plug and play and I did not want to mess with soldering to the connector.

Just FYI @burgershot, not sure if they give you descriptions or papers when you receive the harness connectors but RED = RUNNING LIGHTS, WHITE = BLINKERS.

Thanks whitegas I'll bear it in mind. Harnesses and relay have shipped so hopefully I'll get these fitted next week

In addition to the wiring harness and flasher relay (to slow down the blink rate), I would probably end up with one of these as well: http://goo.gl/KiYDj6 to allow two wire LEDs in front to be used as turn signals and daytime running lights

Initially I wanted to keep the DRL'S, but after I could not find three wire LED's I ended up not going that way. I have been happy enough without them. I really did not want to add a resistor as I was concerned about heat buildup.

The one part I forgot here that just arrived today is adapters to fit the smaller LEDs to the existing mounts. I just got them from eBay. Black aluminum. I've already installed the relay so hopefully I can get the rest done this weekend

That factory harness will make a nice clean install. Just ordered a set so i can get on my led turn signal install. My LED relay, and blinker genie just showed up!

You know, I bought the harnesses from customLED too and ended up not using them. I mean, you're going to have to do some soldering one way or the other, so it really just boils down to whether you want to snip the harness off of the stock signals and reuse them. That's what I did.

I got it all done including the flasher relay and tail tidy. Didn't really have any major issues.
I used heat shrink crimp connectors from Canadian Tire to join all the customLED harnesses to the new lights and re-used the harness from the tail light for the yoshi plate light.

Here are some pics of the finished product.

Looks good to me! I thought up in Canada this bike is the MT-07...? Guess that must be Europe only.

FZ07 is only in the America's (US, Canada & Mexico). The rest of the world (including Europe, Australia and Japan) it's MT07. Not sure why but I am guessing that the whole FZ history on this side of the ocean has more meaning. MT07 sounds better imo.

You're right, I never thought of that.

FZ sounds like fizzy, some sparkling soda brand (or pop as we say) Try googling fizzy and you'll see what mean.
