Break in RPMs

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. I'm breaking my new baby in and sticking to the manual procedure of not staying over 5000 for the first 600mi. This means I've been cruising at 4-4500. Does that sound about right? No where near lugging correct?

That's OK, although with my bike I just rode it as I felt like.

Always a source of debate haha. Dealer said i don't need to baby her and to just ride how I normally would but I'm never sure. I guess Im more concerned about what's considered "lugging" on these. Thanks guys

The big thing that everyone can agree on is to vary the rpm's. Avoid running at the same revs as much as you can.
