What Paddock Stand Do You Use?

My brother has that HF stand. I warn you, it's not the best of the bunch. It has held up so far, but it did indeed bend in one spot when we put his CBR600 on it. It is hard to pass on a bargain but just be extra careful when working on it.

OK so the stand I got Royal Distributing is pretty good actually much beefier than I realized. Pads look good. Little nubs below handle where it comes down to the floor. Have to get rid of the springs and set the width for my bike as only need one size. Rocked it pretty good and seemed very stable, now no more rocking hate testing things like that!!! PS ignore the dirty bike they keep washing my street down each Friday coz we have some new construction here! Making it hard to keep things clean!

I was trying to get the chef's attention and I guess it worked!

Price was definitely right! Can you order by phone or online from them?

ATTN PEEPS: I have a pretty goo relationship with the guys and gals at my local Cycle Gear. I checked out their Paddock Stand and the guy, who has an R6 looked right at me and said, "No way would I put my R6 on that stand, and I certainly wouldn't put your FZ on it either."

So it might look cool, cheap price, but when you think, "Pitbull is outta my price range" remember, you just bought an $8 Grand bike, splurge the extra $100+ and get Pitbull...ordering mine very soon.

Oh and I meant Pitbull Stands, not this doofus :) :)

Update to Harbor Freight paddock .. I posted this earlier but maybe didn't save it?

The Harbor Freight stand came with spool paddles and the frame paddles were optional.  "Were" is the key word; I called them and they are no longer available .. no explanation, so I returned it.

Moderators, please delete my earlier post, don't want to steer anyone in the wrong direction.

OK...figured out how to delete it ..  P-)

Just checked OES website, it looks like they now have spools for our bikes. Price is awesome. They seem to be essentially the same thing as the R&G and Evotech, but roughly half-price.
I just bought a set. Now shopping for a pit bull. Anyone know the difference between SS and standard ? Stainless steel ? Which spools?
Thanks!

I think the SS stands for "Standard/Spools" - it works both as a standard stand (via pads on the swing arm) or with spools - the stand top support can be flipped. That is useful.

Not a paddock stand but I have one of these lifts I use for my ATV, bike and snowmobile. But with a FZ-07 it is a no-go. The exhaust is in the way. I will try and figure out how to adapt it, because they are handy when doing some maintenance.

I use the Harbor Freight version of this lift on my 07.  Just put one of the rubber contact points under the axle bolt on the kickstand side.  Stabilize the bike with a 2x4 under the axle bolt on the right side.  Just to be safe, I also put a 2x4 under the engine (on the right side) just back from the headers.

The biggest challenge was bringing it home on my bike. I discarded the box and strapped the parts on my bike.

That rocks! If there isn't a thread for "What's the largest, weirdest thing you've carried home on your bike" there should be.

Got these on Amazon: LINK For $73.98 (includes tax and shipping).  The front is a close fit but does the job well.  That price for both front and back was hard to beat anywhere else.  I know everyone is stuck on Pitbull, but our bikes only weigh 395 wet, no real need for over-engineered stands (in my mind).

I got a stand from Harbor Freight for $30. It is very sturdy and has been working great.

How do you like them, are they worth the money? I had them in my amazon cart and just couldnt complete the order. My wife has prime so I get free shipping. The price is very tempting.

Very well worth the price.  I was actually surprised that they sent me the two sets.  At first, I just thought that they would send the two end pieces that would be interchangeable, but it turned out to be two stands.

I am thinking of one of these, don't know if they are available in the US
the bike is lifted by the swinging arm pivot point so by using a block or jack
you can remove both tyres and if you change your bike you just buy adapters for
the new one, expensive but Yamaha dont seem to have made it easy to fit bobbins
for a normal stand.

I just bought the Pitbull Standard Forward Handle Stand, had some Revzilla cash so got it for $15.00 off. It is still kind of expensive, but for me never having used a stand, the rear stand just made me feel like I could drop this at any time.
