tracer72017 Posted 8 hours ago Share Posted 8 hours ago hi there everyone i just purchased a mt07 tracer 2017. that had a really noisy engine but still started straight off the button every time . i purchased a used 2021 mt07 engine and fitted it to the bike . now the bike turns over but backfires slightly but wont start . iv gone over all the connections/plugs and all seems fine has anyone done an engine swap and had similar issues . AP996 Posted 7 hours ago Share Posted 7 hours ago I’m not 100% sure but you may need to use the rotor cover off the old engine, i think the newer CP2 engine had some changes on either the rotor or the cover but i may be wrong.
