What are the Pro / Con (minus weight) between

OEM [Lead Acid]

Gel

Lithium

The OEM battery is a sealed AGM type of lead-acid.  Gel batteries are similar.  They are both lead-acid batteries and have the advantage of being very resistant to acid spills.

Oh shot, should have added that into the equation. Thank you

So then:

Lead Acid (LA) - NOT sealed, Requires Maintenance
Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) - Sealed, Maintenance Free [Original Equipment Manufacturer - OEM]
Gel Cell (Gel) - Sealed, Maintenance Free
Lithium Ion (LI) - Sealed, Maintenance Free

2022 Yamaha MT-07 Cyan Storm, 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 [VN2000A], 1997 Yamaha YZF600R - Thundercat [project]

There are several type of lead-acid battery, including:

* Flooded (removable caps, and you can add water)

* AGM (acid contained in absorbant fiberglass mats between lead plates)

* Gel (similar to AGM: https://www.master-instruments.com.au/files/data_sheets/12GB24C_2.pdf )

I just replaced my OEM Yuasa in my 2016 and it showed 12.43 volts after being charged the week previously.  That sounded good for a battery of this age but I was concerned that one day it would suddenly strand me somewhere. I had problems finding a battery with the terminals in the oem location so I bought an AGM MotoBatt MBTZ10S which has two sets of terminals and the same physical dimensions as the OEM Yuasa. It dropped right in and connected up with no problems. Cost was $95.00 at BatteryMart.com.
