IXIL Hyperlow XL Exhaust remap needed?

Hi,

I’ve installed a brand new IXIL Hyperlow exhaust on my MT07 today and friend of mine is trying to convince me that I will need a remap for it. It is my first bike and it is factory restricted to 35kw. I think it’s enough power at least for a few months tor me and I will probably remove the restriction at the summer if I feel the need. The removal of restriction costs 300$ where I live and if I understood correctly they will also remap the air/fuel consumption?
Anyway, I’d like to save few bucks if it’s going to be remapped in few months and wouldn’t do it right now if it’s not strictly needed. What do you guys suggest?

I would say that strictly speaking, a remap is not necessary. It won't be running at its most optimal, but it's not likely to be unsafe either.

I doubt very much the $300 derestriction includes a remap, as it costs nearly that alone.
