Mad
I was studying the new mt07 as I would like to renew the look of my 2015 and I discovered this enigmatic thing : Light Control Unit BAT-85490-00-00 it's just a module needed for the headlight ? shinyribs
I believe it's basically a relay used to bring the light on after the engine starts, rather than the headlight coming on as soon as you turn the key on like how it used to be.
kdemotorsports
An unnecessary part for track use. Sorry couldn't resist. I just removed this on my R7 as part of the sharkskinz install. Not sure about the MT07 but on the R7 I think it is so the LEDs don't flicker.
Global Moderator mjh937 Posted October 18, 2021 Global Moderator Share Posted October 18, 2021 I just figured it was like a regular control unit but with fewer calories . (Sorry, could not resist…)

If it's the driver for a LED headlight I think I'd keep it on there. Don't know how a headlight control unit would be related to track use. Lots of LEDs are sensitive to power input. Dedicated track or race use = no lights therefore not necessary my comment was a joke though
