Tire patching?

I'm not sure if this one's been posted before but here it is.

Interesting. I've had a rope plug in my load range E truck tire for a while. Patched on the side of no-where and saved a $300 service run.

Well, I guess I should thank you mossrider as I have been thinking I'm all set with my kit that fits under my pillion seat. It's actually great because it's with me whenever I ride plus it has inflators.... BUT now I know that the my mushroom plugs are crap. It actually won't be a big deal as all I will need is some rope plugs because I have everything else.

FYI, my kit is one of those Stop-and-Go inflator ones. This brings up a question, anybody know how long those Co2 cartridges are good for. I've had that under my seat for at least 4 years. I suppose I should get a new tube of glue as well.

Yeah, the gas can't escape the cartridges, so they'll last pretty much forever. If one got punctured you'd know it 😂
