Premium Member Eastern Kayaker Posted September 6, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted September 6, 2021 When I started riding my FZ-07, I had not ridden for about 25 years, so it took me several rides before I got better at shifting and just riding in general. If you want to have smoother up shifts, try preloading the shifter by gently putting pressure on the shifter with your foot just before up shifting. You can also adjust the shifter up or down slightly, to adjust the angle your foot hits the shifter. I have a 2015, with regard to the engine braking, I found it annoying. When I had my ECU flashed by 2wheeldynoworks, they reduced the engine braking for me and it meets my expectations now. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
