Premium Member cornerslider Posted June 8, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted June 8, 2021 I picked up some new "take-off" high vis-yellow wheels @ RA last weekend. I'm gonna run one set of wheels with "premium" rubber for bigger track days, and a second set of "OEM black" wheels from 2016 (that came with the bike) for coaching at a smaller track that's close to home... I'll most likely fit them with some Dunlop Q3+ (or similar). I didn't really think I'd like the high-vis yellow color, but after I got tires on them, and got them on the bike.... I think it looks MUCH better than the black wheels!!! What do you guys think??? 5 ""W.O.T. until you see god, then brake"

stickshift
High vis always looks great on the track, cool moto!
klx678
How come "dirt brown" color rims have never gained popularity? Or "Dusty Beige"? A while back I had a brown naked Gold Wing, never looked dirty.

robbo10
The yellow wheels look great. I would swap my blacks for them any time. Just do it!
Dennis.Halmstad
Those high vis looks really good on your bike!!! If you were to repaint them I think some bronze color (like the engine covers) would be nice also, and maybe they would not need to be washed as often. shinyribs
I love the yellow wheels! A friend built this thing and the yellow wheels drive me crazy every time I see it. I guess I should just go ahead and pull the trigger.
Premium Member DewMan Posted June 9, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted June 9, 2021 Am I the only one who is not a fan of the yellow rims? Even if they hydrophobic coated to resist all dirt. I'd still want them nowhere near my bike. But it could just be due to flashbacks of a yellow POS Chevy aluminum block Vega hatchback 4cyl that was only running on 3 cylinders with a beige interior that cost all of $200 and was gifted to me as my 1st car. I was never so happy when I could afford to upgrade from it to 1968 Camaro. DewMan Just shut up and ride.
