Wow, then the time is even more impressive.  I bet you don't weigh a lot.  :)

As my mother used to say, "Now the truth comes out."  :)

What happens with your bike?

Let you know in a couple months when the season starts and hopefully the bike is ready.  :)

Wow that's an impressive run! Yamaha claims it will run a 12.1 stock with what I assume is 120 lb rider. I've seen some videos of amateur runs hitting low 13s. anything in the tens is darn good for a 2 cylinder 700 in my book!

Hello.  Best run so far is only 7.75 seconds at 92 mph in the 1/8 mile.  I either wheelie at the launch or the engine bogs, my 60 foots are terrible at around 2.0 seconds.  I finally got around to strapping the front down, so we will see what happens.

Because I always need an engineering winter exercise, I might build a wheelie bar chassis for a spare FZ07 motor I have, running methanol, a turbo charger, and a stand alone Fueltech FT450 ecu.

You need straps in the front, what tire you use right now?

This is a great point. Most of the factory riders or those used by the different bike publications to test bikes are very light weights. Myself I come through the scales @245 lbs and 5'11" tall.

If your looking for power that will .ale a difference, get your heads and intake ported and polished. Install a quick shift, a race clutch, and better tires.

Ok, you'll need slotted cam sprockets. The intake cam sprocket is identical to the R6 cam sprockets and they are readily available already slotted. You'll need to slot your own exhaust cam sprocket (can use a Dremel if you're careful); I haven't been able to find anyone who offers slotted exhaust cam sprockets for the CP2 motor. The cams from Crower should include info on where their timing should be set. Its a PITA but if you're patient it just takes time and perseverance.

It is a time consuming PITA but I find it really satisfying when you finally have it timed exactly at as you wanted.
