Longer Kickstand Needed

Hey all, since installing my Robem Linkage I am needing to make several adjustments, one of them being needing a longer kickstand. The link did exactly what it should by raising the rear but now the bike is leaning over precariously with the stand down.
I looked at PSR’s website but they don’t appear to adjust longer. I have also seen some of the pads that screw to the foot of the stand, but not sure that would add enough length.
So, does anybody have a good suggestion to solve my problem that doesn’t require me fabricating something? Maybe someone has already tackled this issue?
Who wants a project while we are all quarantined 😁
TIA

I was freaked out at the lean angle of my bike after adding the AP linkage. I never did anything about it and it’s been fine.  Leave it alone for awhile and you’ll get used to it. Mine seems normal to me now.

I don’t know that I will get used to it. I mean this thing is leaning over a lot. I will take your word for it now and cus you later if it falls over 😎

This how mine looks on the side stand. It hasn’t fallen or rolled forward. It looks worse than it is.

I think mine is leaning even more but hard to tell from that angle.

If it was me, I would be buying one of those pads and, if necessary, screwing on a block of hardwood to thicken it. But then that's just me just sayin'.

Just do it!

Yea thanks, I have considered one of those. It’s still an option.

I added a pad on mine.   You should do similar or make sure you set your bike on solid ground.  Uneven ground can be a problem too.  Get in a hole and your bike falls over.  :(  My pad adds .375", but I'm using my own suspension link.

I’m wondering if this would do it. Made and shipped from China so who knows about quality and when it will get here..

This Side stand foot plate enlarger increases the area of the side stand foot. Yamaha MT-07 2014-2020. Yamaha FZ-07 2014-2020...

I think I like @blackout‘s better however.

Do you know how to tap threads?  It's relatively easy and you can buy the aluminum from www.onlinemetals.com.

Lowes has taps that include the drill bit size needed.  You can use wd-40 instead of regular cutting fluid.  Go with 6061 aluminum.

Hasn't troubled me in the slightest. It seems to work fine for me with the AP link and the Ohlins shock.

See if you can find out how thick those feet pads are, then slip some plywood or whatever under your kickstand foot to see if the added thickness is right for you.

Once you figure out how thick you want to add give me a shout. I have a chunk of nylon here that might make a good thing to use as a foot extender thickness adder doohickey. Nylon is super tough, but not as slippery as metal. Will "bite" in to asphalt parking lots well.

It's stark white and will look dirty though. Not sure if that would bug you. Would be super easy to pop a couple bolt holes in the stock foot though, with the way it's made.

Gofast Innovations

There are lots of choices in adjustable kick stands. Here is one.

Good luck,

Paul

Thanks, I have yet to see one that extends longer than stock. All the ones I have looked at are able to go shorter for people with lowering links.
