Do you think there will be bike bargains to be had further down the road as a result of the medical emergency?
what were the best bargains in 2008? (The last crisis)

I think it depends on how bad the economic downturn ends up being.  I think it’s 50/50 at the moment.

The reason it came into my head was a bike reviewer on YT mentioned a Honda 600 rr bought in 2008 could sell about 7 years later for the same money, I think that’s the model?

My advise.... Buy the bike you WANT, and don't worry about the money. I've owned bikes for 12 years, and only lost $350. I've also owned bikes for 2 years, and lost several thousand dollars.... You can't pick the timing, or predict the market. You might as well get the bike you like, and just enjoy it 😎-

Depressions are great for buying things cheap, I would wait awhile and see what happens with this Corona Virus scare. 😉

I agree, I reckon there will be bargains to be had, I like all styles of bikes so open minded on a purchase, see what happens.

If the COVID-19 does, in fact, cause unemployment to skyrocket, there will be a lot of defaulted bike loans.  Bummer for those guys that have to give up their bikes.  I hate paying interest on loans so I buy with cash, but, Yes, used bikes will very likely drop in price.   You could save a few hundred.  I work at a factory that makes COVID-19 diagnostics packets so I have to look at the world-wide statistics on the virus all day long.  If you want some factual information rather than media BS-hype, write privately.  Good luck with bike shopping.

This crisis is gonna make the 2008 crisis look like a walk in the park. While Trump thinks this will all be over in a couple of weeks, that is not going to be the case.

Yes, i think there will be bike deals to be had. As the dealers file bankruptcy there will be a lot of Bike auctions.
