Admiralxavier
Does anyone use them? Is it worth the investment?
stefano225
When you say engine guards are you referring to frame sliders? I am not aware of engine guards for the 07 but I did install OES frame and axle sliders on mine.
andistyr
He could mean these engine guards. http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-OEM-STREET-ENGINE-GUARDS-FZ-07-2015-/291194295633?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43cc885551&vxp=mtr
Admiralxavier
Right, those are what I mean. Protection for the engine in case you drop the bike.
qjohnson
I think everyone prefers the OES sliders. The engine guards are just too big and bulky. They look out of place. Butttttt they do look like they might serve some engine protection in the event of a crash.

Global Moderator mjh937 Posted November 11, 2014 Global Moderator Share Posted November 11, 2014 I have frame sliders. The OEM ones just seemed too expensive for what they are. I also think the place that the frame sliders attach really needed something to finish it off, so it was also about aesthetics too.
