Yeah, the technology is a bit overkill. I do like the adjustable on-the-fly foot pegs and bars though. I REALLY want to see if the lightning strike comes to fruition. Aside from that, screw the hardley bike lol! Have you looked at the specs on the Zero SR/F???? 140 lbs of torque and 110hp. $19,500. One of these days im gonna get an electric. And understand tho, i still want like 3 other gas bikes in the stable too. Im pretty sure my next 2 bikes will be the updated R3 or MT03 and then likely a tracer 900 gt. In that order lol. I do, to each their own. just my .02C
robbo10
All that torque from electric. Great. But only for short distances until batteries are transformed. Otherwise your mates are 100 miles on while you sit waiting for a charge. Just do it!
FrodoFZ
Rode past an electric bike this morning on the way to work. Not immediately knowing that it was electric, I rolled my window down to hear it... I then proceeded to gag and almost had to pull over.

I like the feeling and sound/noise of a bike (and car, boat), but I am old and constantly called a boomer so what do I know.

Premium Member bornagainbiker Posted February 7, 2020 Author Premium Member Share Posted February 7, 2020 I would own an electric bike now, if they weren't so damn expensive and the range wasn't so limited LOL. I know that's too many ifs, but maybe someday soon... Give Respect To Get Respect https://jeff-galbraith.pixels.com/
Global Moderator sorkyah Posted February 8, 2020 Global Moderator Share Posted February 8, 2020 there are some researchers looking into new types of batteries, including the inventor of the original LiFe-PO4 battery. hes got some cobalt and glass batteries that will charge more quickly than a super capacitor, and has 100x the energy density of the standard lifep04 batteries on the market currently. He is also an avid motorcyclist. I would imagine if someone weree to approach him for developing the tech for motorcycle applications, we would be in a new age of battery tech 3 ATGATT...
