Premium Member norcal616 Posted January 7, 2020 Author Premium Member Share Posted January 7, 2020 After reviewing the videos, various pictures of the exhaust I have settled on the fact the exhaust can uses a 61mm inlet and its length is 180mm between the rivets... Currently: you can purchase an exhaust can with the turbo exhaust pipe that has a welded 51mm to 61mm adapter welded on... Or you can select the universal 51mm exhaust pipe and run without the exhaust can or use one later... Plenty of different length options available for either the 51mn or 61mm exhaust cans- 180mm length seems to be about 85% of the items I seen on fleabay... price from $30-$150... Sound lvls in comparison to my previous setup- Hordpower airbox/Yoshi exhaust with baffle which I sold... No exhaust can- loud like a legit MotoGP bike- you know it's a turbo bike 51mm x 180 exhaust can- louder than Yoshi exhaust but with deeper notes- pic below 61mm x 180mm exhaust can- slighty quieter than 51mmx180 exhaust but with softer notes...pic below 51mm x 250mm exhaust can- will update later- I'm gonna assume its gonna be close in loudness of the Yoshi can due to length... Yoshi exhaust can with baffle( Yoshi inlet to big for my exhaust pipe)- slightly louder than stock exhaust- no pics 2015 fz-07- Hordpower Edition...2015 fj-09- 120whp- Graves Exhaust w/Woolich Race Kit- tuned by 2WDW
shinyribs
Haha! Breaking blocks is always sobering. Snapped a main web out of a Windsor one time. We were asking too much out of a stock block, but man...the noises they make when the crank is just bouncing around down there!

shinyribs
You know, that actually looks quite nice with the longer wheelbase. Usually stretched arms have that ghetto gangly look to them, but on these they actually seem to help the proportions.

Yes I agree the swingarm extensions help with the overall looks vs OEM which looks kinda smushed together... 2015 fz-07- Hordpower Edition...2015 fj-09- 120whp- Graves Exhaust w/Woolich Race Kit- tuned by 2WDW

Its warm to touch near the exhaust can, would take a few mins of riding to actually get the wrap hot near the exhaust can... near the exhaust ports, yea it's hot ... my definition of hot is up there as I weld and braze aluminum "thermocoolers" 1 2015 fz-07- Hordpower Edition...2015 fj-09- 120whp- Graves Exhaust w/Woolich Race Kit- tuned by 2WDW
Premium Member norcal616 Posted February 8, 2020 Author Premium Member Share Posted February 8, 2020 Welded up my new flange for the turbo exhaust... was kinda fun weld SS for the 1st time in like 10yrs after welding aluminum daily at work... the welding colors look funny due to the gas mixture at work which is 85/15 mix of argon/helium... current flange looks like this: red circle is the internal wastegate location... 2015 fz-07- Hordpower Edition...2015 fj-09- 120whp- Graves Exhaust w/Woolich Race Kit- tuned by 2WDW
shinyribs
@norcal616 I just posted on the other thread, but I meant to post in your thread here. Anxious to see how your turbo setup has been treating you this past summer.
