The airbox may look like a simple box but its not- the intake facing plate is actually machined with nice "bell mouth" type inlets and made outta 6000 grade aluminum...

The header/exhaust is very nicely done with TIG welds and cleaned up... I choose the "Screamer Pipe" since its universal to accept a 2in inlet exhaust can or run without one...

Swingarm extensions come in 2 choices: factory " X style" axle blocks or aftermarket axle blocks, I chose the factory axle block extensions...

Overall the bits and pieces are all high quality( Aeroflow, HEL) and didn't skimp...

Everything is labeled, about 80% is pre-plumbed, hoses are correct length... had to trim my Vagabond rear brake master cylinder bracket to fit under the airbox(needs to be removed to fit airbox), throttle bodies were removed to fit airbox since it's a tight fit like the OEM airbox but way easier to remove/install... I even fabricated a small bracket to mount the turbo to an unused stock exhaust bolt hole to add more strength to setup since its orginally supported by the headers and airbox charge pipe...

I dunno your race stops but if your near Michigan I can swing by 😎

Psst! have you seen the the E85 mt-07 turbo bike video Extreme Creations  made? 🙈 ... I will say this little motor holds some serious potential in forced induction applications 145HP/115TQ 🧐

Ooo yes- e85 holds alot of power granted it requires approx 30% more fuel vs gas but the rewards are worth it...

That looks awesome, been looking at their website for the last year, good to see someone brave enough to give it ago. Look forward to seeing how you get on with it.

Yea before e85 I used to have alcohol injection on my built Subi STi. Did wonders on the dyno. I am going to check your bike out this year 👍

Sweet, look forward to completion and some good video, and maybe a dyno printout.

Weren’t  you previously running a hordpower airbox? If so did you consider the higher comp pistons and head work for 90+ hp? Although I suppose you will get more bang for the buck, and more power this way with much less work. As well as it being totally reverseable if needed. Did I just answer my own questions?

Anyway, I hope it turns out exactly as you hoped. A step by step install would be really nice to see as well.

All put together... took me and my buddy about 5hrs just taking it easy...

Even found out the new fuel pump has a bracket to mount the fuel lvl float...

Will upload pics tonight at home...

Yes I used to run a Hordpower and Yoshi exhaust... nothing wrong with the combo- the airbox should be a factory item...

Yea I could have gone the traditional hi-comp and head work route but with my friends fast turbo cars/trucks around me that i have helped build in the last few years, I was feeling left out/itching, since I had "no boost"... yea they have have me beat in HP/TQ but I remind them I have a TURBO BIKE 😁...

Search YouTube for MT-07 turbo...3rd video I believe by EXcreations... shows dynochart and ripping thru gears under WOT...

Warm enough the next couple of days to take her out and shake it down. Would like to see the finished product and a vid or two in action 🤞

Not yet... roads are salty/dirty... and I got a nice vacuum cleaner mounted down where the stock cat used to be...and needs rear brake pads I forgot to order this summer when I stole em to use on the FJ-09

Sound wise its reasonably loud without a muffler... I put the Yoshi can on(too big of an inlet) and wow!!! It so quiet with a muffler a good majority will never think it's a turbo bike... the reason it's reasonably loud, is the 2in turbo exhaust pipe which prevents the exhaust noise pulses from mixing/breaking up- solution is run a huge pipe or run a muffler... same thing happened when we went from 3in turbo exhaust on the s10 to 4in turbo exhaust which sounds like it lost like half its decibels...

Still need to mount swingarm extensions, longer chain and brake line...

I been eyeballing a turbo kit for years when I saw the FZ/MT-09 turbo kit... I orginally wanted to turbo my FJ-09 but I would giving up the FJ-09 which I can do multiple day trips on vs the FZ-07 which was already the "toy/fun bike"...

This is cool! Glad to see you posting detailed pics and info.

Not criticisms, honest questions:

1: With the turbo oil supply plumbed in to the main gallery, why does there also need to be an in-line oil pump to the turbo? Or is that a return pump?

2: The 90 degree AN fitting on the bottom of the turbo housing....is it as low hanging as the pic suggests?

3: I can't for the life of me understand how the swingarm extension fasten solidly in the the swinger, so I'm curious to see how those fit up.

4: "I have a nice vacuum cleaner"...does the kit supply any sort of intake air filter for the turbo inlet.

5: Any changes done to the ECU concerning fuel/ignotion mapping? Any vacuum based timing correction going on?

I've been thinking hard about these kits myself. I've heard about the 07's with +100hp losing rods at high engine speeds, but the beauty of forced induction is the added torque throughout the rev range. As some who personally doesn't spend lots of time at high rpm, I think my riding style would allow a lot of "use" of the extra turbo'd power without the added stress of running the poor thing at high rpm for laps at a time under full throttle load. I mean, I use to rev my inline fours near redline constantly, and I did the same when I first got my 07. But I've since learned to surf the fat torque wave and enjoy short shifting this thing like I do my big bore thumpers. So, other than dedicated track use, I bet the average street hoon could rip on one of these kits with zero longevity concerns. Rear tire excluded, of course!

I'm anticipating your fuel mileage won't suffer at all, or will actually improve. But I'm wondering if the cooling fan will end up running more due to the compressed intake charge. I'm confident the massive cooling system on this bike is up to the task, but wouldn't be surprised if the fan runs more. Anxious to hear your long term results of everything.

1: needs a return pump to push oil back into the oil fill cap side- it's got the pressure to supply oil to turbo but not enough to push it to other side of bike...

2: angle of the bike makes it look low- it sticks out a little past the turbo maybe 1/2in

3: will post pics on swingarm extensions later tonight as I am gonna install em now

4:yes it has a prefilter wrap and an airfilter..

5: all that was changed was fuel/ign on the supplied PCV map, no per gear mapping needed... ECU is still in stock form... new fuel pump has a built in 1:1 regulator so it automatically adjusts fuel pressure as boost increases... it pulls its signal from the airbox, the BOV gets its signal from the right throttle body vaccum port... according to instructions it runs on premium pump gas 93+ and the AFRs avg 11.1-11.5, it was "designed that way" and I also agree as the turbo cars/trucks I have built/used consider, 11.1-11.5 AFR to be a "safe" range... I am gonna get a longer fuel pressure gauge line so I can mount it next to the boost gauge to keep, I also will mount my wideband o2 sensor up and connect it to the datapod to show AFR and injector "duty cycle" to keep on eye on it...

Yea I'm gonna need to learn how to ride a turbo bike, when it's not under "load" or when its under "load", I just anticipate faster reaction of engine vs naturally aspirated in similar situations... I don't think the MPG will suffer unless I start hammering on it... I just will have to change the oil out bout every 1-1.5k miles vs 3k miles...reliability wise- this motor already has almost 20k miles, oil changes bout every 2.7-3k miles depending on shift feeling...it ran the first 9k miles on an aftermarket exhaust/tune and my tuning adventures 😅, then spent the last 10k miles running a Hordpowe/ Yoshi/ PCV combo...

Is this the same one? I can't seem to copy/paste the post I put up on a thread last year by cruzin. I took this at the IMS in NY.
