What did you do to your Yamaha FZ-07 today?

Bought this cheap Coolant guard with mixed reviews as in impulse buy while at work.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FLWBU9G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

When I got home and looked at my bike to picture how it would look, I remembered my FZ already has a nice metal coolant guard...

Whelp, I guess I'll compare the looks of the two!

I had one, looked cool but it broke on me. Maybe you'll have better luck.

I've put on the oem, ermax tall, givi short and touring

All of em had the same issue

Though being 6'1 doesn't help

I'm still trying to figure out a way I could fork mount it at the bottom and bar mount at the top

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Have you tried mounting an FJR1300 to your front end. I hear an FJR1300 blocks the wind pretty good. 😉

Yea, the reviews were pretty consistent saying the upper bracket snapped after a while. So, I figured for something that is a cheap addition, might as well give it a try.

Who knows, I may end up liking my factory guard better. 🤷‍♂️

Is that to say they both aren't made in China? 😮

20180816_124218.thumb.jpg.0bbc84149c87cc92eeff04e3239b52f3.jpgTried my hand at vinyl wrapping for a color change. Wanted to wrap the tail section too but dumped the idea after finding out how difficult the gentle curves on the tank section were so I went with some plasti dip.

Is that gap under the side of the seat normal? Is the seat seated right at the front of the tank?

Good eye! The seat was just placed on at the time of the picture. It has since been seated properly in its place.

I've been looking for a white paneled blurple frame for a while now. IMO this looks wicked compared to the liquid graphite. Have you thought about buying panels instead of wrapping them?

Give it a few tries bud youll see how easily viny is. Make sure you have a blow dryer on hand. That helps work the vinyl around sharper corners. and always buy a bigger piece than you estimated. I always measure than add about 25%

Got the rest of the bags mounted and put the windscreen back on.

This is the setup I'm hoping will work for touring.

It looks good! Let us know how well that windscreen works at highway speeds.

What type of windscreen is that?  It looks good and looks like it would work well.
